For many a heatwave that shan’t ease at night, ’Tis only eased slightly by the erratic wild storms delight, Whilst reptiles move into houses that are kept cooler, and the spiders appear where you least expect them... Creating the perfect place for real life nightmares to stem!
The wildlife ~ though cute ~ lines the roads all the more, For the slightest of moisture dusk through dawn has in store, Destroying both themselves and one’s car should they happen to startle, Creating yet another not so delightful debacle...
For to drive in the day though the blistering heat, As the bitumen melts is equally unsweet.. The Car’s hot enough to burn you when touched, And if the air conditioner goes - pray you survive, The heat inside is worse to endure and make it alive!

When we look at all that we may have, And take note of that in which we don’t, We may find our minds can wallow a tad in our lacking, To the point of distracting us from what we have, Planting a seed of inadequacy in any thoughts yet honed…
This seed in turn can ripple out into our lives, Creating a mental focus in many an area of lack, If we don’t find a way to extinguish this mentality with haste, It can create chaos and deprivation beyond polar to our desires, Even turning away those that have always had our back…

Though this doesn’t mean one should ignore, Whatever it may be that one is lacking… By all means take a moment to note it but then refocus, For ’tis rarely a mindset of lack that prospers, But those that can send thoughts of inability packing.
Thus why we need radiate our quintessence from thoughts ’n’ heart, Confidently shining positively our ability to transpire, With a grateful subtle pride in all it is we have, Knowing we always have an abundance of whatever we need, In turn effortlessly attracting more of what we truely desire.

Whilst for the most life in the bush is sweet to say the least, Unless it happens to be midsummer… post rain… and the mozzies start to feast. Thus there’s a very valid reason the tourists tend to come round June, Summer can be down right dangerous despite natures sweet tune.
For when the rain deluges in horizontal, blowing everything askew, And goanna’s decide to accompany you when you happen to use the loo, Whilst venomous snakes move into the garden as if invited right on cue, And you can’t venture through a doorway without checking for; An abundance of creatures that could be lurking to fall on you… Not to mention the array of spiders which after all that don’t seem so bad, And the flies that when mixed with heat and dust are near enough to send one mad.
Though if perchance you can handle enduring all of that, The great Australian outback can be a blast (just don’t forget a solid hat). With many an adventure awaiting all whom dare, And for those of us that live out here that’s everyday with flare, For the vast Aussie bushland is abundant with ever changing beauty and grace, One just need remember to stay diligently mindful or she’ll fast put you in your place.
