A Poetic Moment Pondering Objectified Empowering of Confidence: The Power of Personal Talismans

Whilst some where tiaras and gems in their hair,
For others ’tis lucky socks or a bracelet they wear,
As a lot of us have talismans of some kind to empower us more,
Tokens we wear or carry to support our confidence to soar,
Yet why do need them? Why not stand on our own?
Could it truely be we think we cannot do things alone?

Or do we need things to anchor energetics we cannot yet fathom,
To support our endeavours so that they can happen?
For we’ve heard people say that girls can use makeup to hide,
Though perhaps ’tis a trigger for what’s deep down inside,
A way to empower their confidence ~ help it to rise,
Support them through the days/nights/lows and highs.

 Soldiers, great warriors of the past, were often recorded,
To be in possession of things to remind of homes where applauded,
Reminding them of why they left to fight at the start,
Whom ’tis they adore and keep close within their heart,
We’ve tales of hero’s whom drove beyond their natural limits,
Believing what they possessed could empower them beyond summits!

And yet to another our empowering trinkets are often useless,
There’s those that enjoy pointing that out without rest,
Though often one may find even they have or do something,
Perhaps a sacredly timed deep breath, hairstyle or to themselves they sing,
We all have a something or someway that’s just for us,
To empower our confidence to rise from deep within without fuss.

In The Gloom of Wintertime

When Wintertime adventures are in full swing,
One finds themselves in variants outside their norm,
Be it just weather conditions, or alternate swings,
Oftentimes pushing our bodies systems more to perform…

Regardless it a hike starting in ten n under temps,
Or a crowd not mixed amongst much before,
Our bodies can only take so much beyond normals extremes,
‘Til our immune system finds itself stretched beyond its limits core. 

Thus soon there’s a sniffle, a cough, an increasing temp,
Whilst Rain drizzles like children’s noses,
A sick day when everyone is fighting it off,
That’s far from snuggles and cozy horizontal poses…

For when a sick day doubles a rain event,
Movies and blankets may seem minds ideal,
However when everyone’s coughing/sneezing disrupts the storyline’s,
Soup, sleep and medicinals may become a nicer path through the ordeal…

Though devices have become alarms for medicine times,
And crystals find foreheads to soothe in kind,
Many a restless child upset they’re too sick to play,
Brings another element frustrating to one’s bind.

Yet there’s comfort in the warmth of a well herbed, spiced soup,
And a small ones smile a few days in brings hope of an imminent mend,
Soon enough all will be back out on another wintertime adventure,
Ever grateful for this ill moment in the gloom of wintertime to finally have come to its end!

Stones of the Wives

Have you ever wondered why it is,
That in the traditions of the western world at least,
Wives wear and are recipients of specific gems,
Like diamond rings and strands of pearls,
And from what hidden purposes their wearing stems?

Apart from being stunning jewellery,
Each does way more to support a wifely role,
So let us first delve this thought towards a gold and diamond wedding band,
And how this symbol of promise and devotion,
Can do more than add some stunning sparkle to their hand.

Firstly, the gold. Which is traditionally yellow,
‘Tis often energetically masculine and physical,
Though there can come a point where masculine can become matriarchal,
Thus bringing an energetic increase in overall physical healing,
And thus supporting her health through life’s many a debacle…

Diamonds, with their strength near never ending,
Are also amazing at supercharging all within their range,
And the shape into which they’ve been cut can play a massive role,
Into how this sparkling all round superstar,
Can support the wearer to manifest their goal.

Now, rubies can energetically support the circulation of one’s blood,
Though when ‘tis actually garnets giving an illusion,
Creativity seems to find a way towards near every solution,
Wise blue sapphires can add support by keeping a hot temper cooler,
Whilst beryls such as emeralds help keep the energy of love from dilution!

A simple strand of pearls bring their own calming vibes,
Along with support towards grace and decorum,
Depending upon their colour they can also empower,
Guide a wiser communication flow both within and to others,
And work to unblock the energetic path of the inner nurturer.

A gold bangle or bracelet if it be filled with silver,
Brings a feminine luna perspective to the mix,
Whilst rose gold or Tri-coloured gold earrings can add a sense of extra balance,
Stones such as zirconias and hematite ground one energetically, 
Stopping a mundane day completely taking one’s mind away on a daydream dance!

Though the stones that wives nowadays wear may be fast evolving,
As traditions get changed or completely left behind,
I believe it healthy we take a moment to ponder all it is they do,
Before we shut our minds to them with only the fragments that we know,
Of their other hidden secrets which may be never ending too!

Just a touch of clarity fore I conclude this thought;
Partners sealing marriage vows with golden diamond rings,
Are bestowing their loved one a gift of wanting them to have lasting health and strength,
Wearing pearls bolsters one’s intention to be calm and confident with grace,
A husband gifting his wife an emerald eternity ring,
Adds an element of them wanting their love to beat life’s race.

Gifting another a Ruby when you want their heart to continue strong,
Seems so much more wise and loving a gesture,
Than just giving the one for which you care a ring,
Merely because tradition dictates that you should,
Give them that option of delightfully sparkly bling.
