Signs of the Omens

Signs... omens... messages from those beyond?
For eons humans have been said to have seen and believed,
That certain things can give us insights and guidance,
Into that which is to come... but could it purely just be something perceived?

Whilst seeing a solo crow, squawking on a post ever ominously,
May seem an eerie moment to those whom witness it,
If ’tis a single occurrence on its own is it truly a message of looming bad luck?
Or could it be more something that triggers us to manifest our own ill finesse?

Picking up a coin dropped by another long ago,
Or perhaps one’s found a clover with an extra leaf or more,
Are they actually bringing one an extra splash of luck,
Or is it one’s happier perspective causing better moments to soar?

When one is seeing the same numbers and signs in abundance,
One may certainly believe there’s a message the universe is trying to impart,
Though may it be possible it’s our subconscious trying to guide our focus on our life path?
Or highlighting that which we ourselves just want to constantly align to in our respective art?

Now how we each view our world ’tis always a unique perspective to us alone,
And whilst there’s always an abundance the world around can reveal to each whom seek,
The thought that should perhaps always linger at least a moment within our conscious thoughts ’tis;
Is this truly signs of the omens soon to transpire?
Or something I’ve attracted to me just in this moment meek?

Idea be Thine

Ever have an amazing idea you long to bring to life?
Yet haven’t known exactly how to make it actually so,
I’ve been there many a time before myself as well,
And I think you may just require what this poem has in stow…

As when we get amazing ideas popping into our thoughts,
We may have elements we already know how to apply,
But what of the other elements? Our knowledge and research skills can only take us so far,
How do we navigate the ideas onward to the world beyond you and I?

For to the world in general ‘tis irrelevant if an idea be thine or thous,
Nor if we’ve worked on it from scratch hours upon hours,
If near not a soul can find it; it truly only exists for us alone,
Which for some may shatter dreams through to their very bone…

Yet though we be much like a droplet in the oceans vast,
A tiny leaf upon a massive, wise ancient tree with its roots steadfast,
There’s always room for us and our creations in this world,
We just need to learn how to cast it out into the sea successfully unfurled.

Now, though there’s always a multitude of ways for one to go about this,
The way I find to be ideal for launching ideas from thoughts to creations so that the world can enjoy a squiz,

Where one can become more informed and guided further upon the journey that ideas to fruition is…

May Their Phoenix Rise!

A delicate bird with clipped wings in a cage,
Whose beauty and elegance seems abounding,
Can only dream and sing their long days away,
Whilst pondering how the free birds spend their day.

Pondering what dew covered berries taste like off a bush,
As the sun kisses treetops good morning at dawn,
How an evening breeze would feel to glide home upon,
And what it would be like to harmonise with another’s song.

Yet within it’s well tended cage of metal and straw,
Comfort and safety reason away thoughts so free,
That our feathery friend seems content and happy,
Singing its song all day in and out as it believes ‘tis supposed to be.

Then one day evidently our little friend finds a door ajar,
Venturing out as cautiously as a timid kitten shy,
Leaving both cage and comfort further behind in each moment,
Until fearing their unknown is no longer a component.

Eventually this feathered beauty starts to heal,
From their traumatic past endured for so long,
Though the healing may at times seem traumatising within itself,
‘Tis ultimately better to withstand it than bury it upon a shelf.

Thus soon may come a time so empowering,
That they start to embrace their new chapter of life,
Allowing their inner phoenix to rise from their past strife,
Entering each new seraphic day increasing their new enchantment rife!
